Scotland 2 Poland 3 Live As Pressure On Steve Clarke After Boss Left Changes Too Late

Scotland 2 Poland 3 LIVE as pressure on Steve Clarke after boss left changes too late

Scotland's Nations League woes continued as they were beaten 3-2 by Poland at Hampden

Steve Clarke's side were 2-0 up thanks to goals from John McGinn and Stuart Armstrong

But Poland hit back with three goals in the final 25 minutes to claim victory.

The result leaves Scotland bottom of their Nations League group with one point from their opening three games.

Clarke made four changes to the side that started the 2-1 defeat to Ukraine on Wednesday.

But his decision to leave out Ryan Fraser and Lyndon Dykes until the second half backfired.

Scotland were much improved in the first half and took the lead through McGinn's header from a Kieran Tierney cross.

Armstrong doubled their advantage early in the second half with a fine finish from the edge of the box.

But Poland pulled one back through Robert Lewandowski's penalty after Tierney was adjudged to have fouled Przemyslaw Frankowski.

And the visitors levelled through Arkadiusz Milik's header from a corner.

Poland completed the turnaround when substitute Krzysztof Piatek fired home from close range.

Clarke's side now have a mountain to climb if they are to avoid relegation from their Nations League group.

They face Ukraine away on Tuesday in their next match, before hosting Ireland in their final group game on September 27.
